How spoken word poetry is a powerful tool for positive change!

You might wonder what spoken word poetry has to do with making change happen.

This is the ancient tradition of lyrical story-telling reinvented for an age of disruptive  social innovators.

What if you spoke about what moves you?

You might find yourself standing in the middle of an incongruity of messages: we want you to think but we don't like the democratic voice which thinking gives you.

If you are there in that place, it's simply that they are uneasy that you might disrupt the safety of their significance and level the playing field.

The truth is that your unique perspective counts. Your creativity is unprecedented.

As Audre Lorde said, "I began to ask each time: "What's the worst that could happen to me if I tell this truth?"

What truth will you speak?

Comprehending the true power of the spoken word is cardinal to attain victory. Every individual is having the ability to either heal or harm. The words used by a person can be positive or negative. The words can build a parallel or destroy it. Our words are not having a direct relationship with the outcome. Basically, our locution affects the end result indirectly. You have to practice giving compliments, practice using positive phrases, develop a habit to respond rather than to react, and learn the right way to express gratitude so that you can make a positive amendment in your life.

Spoken poetry is one of the most modern forms of art. In fact, I believe that it is modern poetry exemplified. I, personally believe that we do not have enough education concerning literature and poetry. Most of the people I know do not even care about them. This reflects just how bad our education system is. However, since the development of spoken poetry, people have become much more interested about them. I am happy that there are people who wishes to express themselves more.
