learn to move mountains® hub training
set up an innovation hub to inspire wellbeing & entrepreneurship
in children and young people
learn to move mountains® hub training is a 4-session online training programme for people working with children and youth.

It gives you everything you need to set up an innovation hub, to increase wellbeing and entrepreneurial skills in children and young people as you play with ideas to change the world.
Why set up a learn to move mountains® hub?
Where?
You’ll be building the skills and mindset that children and young people need to lead flourishing lives as global citizens in today’s uncertain world.

Your hub will be about empowering all children and young people, regardless of academic ability, gender, race, nationality or creed to be happy agents of positive change.

In your youth club, school, library, playgroup, after-school club, education space.

Use this as part of PSHE, CAS, Global Citizenship, Tutor Time, Assembly…
How will the hub help children and young people?
By embedding a process for problem-solving
that gives them the power to take action in their lives and communities,
giving them a sense of purpose using their own creativity.
What will you do for children and young people in the hub?
  • Create a level-playing field for everyone to get involved
  • Connect each person to their unique creativity, strengths and perspectives
  • Give them a starting point for taking action through play
  • Make a safe space for dealing with failure and knowing what to do next
  • Show them how to collaborate and constructively handle the conflict that comes with that
  • Empower them as researchers in the world around them
  • Enable them to find their voice, to share and showcase their ideas confidently
What are the benefits for young people of taking part in the hub?
  • They will build the core personal, people and thinking skills needed in the 21st Century
  • They will be part of creating solutions regardless of academic ability
  • Learned optimism so that they stop feeling helpless in face of challenges
  • Have ownership of solving problems rather than being powerless by-standers
  • Know how to nurture themselves so that they own their wellbeing
  • Be resilient by knowing how to adapt and overcome challenges
  • Be ‘thinking do-ers’ using their empathy as a catalyst for their ideas
  • Know their life values, so that they can choose to live them and be guided by them in their decision making
  • Have the courage to take a risk on turning their ideas into reality, knowing that there is always more creativity
