Sustainable School Innovation Challenge
Climate Action Toolkit
When you take the Sustainable School Innovation Challenge
you join the
learn to move mountains® community,
giving youth the tools to imagine, design & create solutions

Your investment is 97 chf
Why this toolkit?
Using this online toolkit, you will build youth wellbeing, resilience and ‘future of work’ skills by giving young people a starting point for taking climate action at a local level.
How does it work?
Using the Sustainable School Innovation Challenge based on achieving UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 11 – Sustainable Cities & Communities you will give young people a pathway forward which inspires purpose and hope.
Here's what happens
  1. Research: young people explore SDG 11 at a local level to identify local sustainability challenges
  2. Innovation Challenge: young people take the challenge to generate their ideas
  3. Showcase Solutions: they share their concepts via a poster and video display
  4. Engage Community: they inspire and engage others with a mini version of the innovation challenge
  5. Visual Impact Library: upload ideas onto the Flow In Action online school platform to join the global learn to move mountains® community and immediately visualise their impact.

The learn to move mountains® approach shares the process of
real-world problem-solving used by innovators and entrepreneurs
taking action to design solutions for a flourishing planet.
What does it do?
A challenge-based learning toolkit to use with young people age 8 years upwards, building core thinking and life skills.

Using design innovation and systems thinking to play with ideas, young people are guided to imagine solutions for a flourishing, sustainable school community.

You will create a powerful starting point for tackling real-world problems at a local level, initiating action for a ‘healthy campus’ as young people move to turn ideas into projects.

To make big change happen on sustainability at a global level,
we need to take climate action within our own communities
