Youth are bringing incredible projects, start-ups and activities to communities in order to shape, scale-up and fast-track climate action. Yet, these solutions addressing wicked problems are often hidden because they are not shared in ways that demonstrate their true value.
 
That means policymakers don’t see them, hear them or recognise how to factor these solutions into their decision-making.
 
It is time for youth to showcase their work as have-to-have signals of change to influence policymakers in their decisions on focus, funding and urgent climate action.
 
By bringing their signals to the attention of policymakers in ways that convey their real and potential for positive impact, youth have the power to advocate for scaling-up solutions of value for mitigation and adaptation.
 
To do that, by learning how to clearly identify and convey the value of their solution in making climate action impact, youth cultivate the conditions for scaling up climate innovation.
 
With extensive experience of working to empower youth with UN Agencies, schools and as start-up entrepreneurs, in this class Elaine France guides youth participants to use a blend of strategic foresight and entrepreneurship tools, enabling them to define and share the true value of their solution with policymakers.  
 
Together, we will:

• Identify the core problem or unmet need that your solution works to resolve. 
• Map the pains that need resolving and the gains sought by people experiencing this challenge, so that you can always validate how your solution addresses these. 
• Define the value proposition for your solution. 
• Recognize your solution as a signal of change and the potential it has to make positive impact. 
• Practice sharing your solution, so that policymakers and other stakeholders clearly recognize its value in making change happen. 

Plus, you'll automatically become part of the Flourishing Futures Collective, a community of rulebreakers and changemakers unfolding love as a social mission.

Who? 
This class is for youth climate advocates who are representing organizations at climate events with policymakers. It is also open to youth who are exploring their climate advocacy approach.
